Into a busy Los Angeles neighborhood, Vlad, a 24-year-old Ukrainian, embarked on a trip to California after the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian war. “Coming from the vibrant industrial city of Mariupol in the heart of Donbass, I tried to bring with me its cultural heritage and strong spirit.And although I have a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, while creating the story of a new life in the City of Angels with my fiancée and cousin, our tiny apartment serving as a refuge for us in the chaos of uncertainty of life in a new country, I took on the role of a food delivery driver. Despite the difficulties associated with adapting to a new country and way of life, we are courageously striding towards our bright future in which we sincerely believe. In rare moments of relaxation, we find joy in the simple pleasures of traveling through the mountains surrounding this beautiful city, and looking down on it right from the top of the mountains, we are inspired and with trepidation, we plan and build the incredible story of our lives.”
